Zelma J. Mead Schoolcraft, 76, of Chillicothe, was called to be with our Lord on October 7, 2009, 2:20 pm at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born December 17, 1932 in Ross Co., the daughter of the late Jacob J. and Dorothy B. O'Keefe Mead. On February 18, 1955 she married Billy W. Schoolcraft who survives. Also surviving are three children, Jeffrey W. Schoolcraft, of New Albany, Kimberly L. Scarberry, of Chillicothe, and De Anna S. Wilson, of Nahunta, GA; 8 grandchildren, Kevin, Jeremy, Sarah (Scott), Tabitha, Mandy (Tim), Travis, Remington, and Maddie; six great-grandchildren, Harley, Lily, Alexis, Ashlynn, Annalee, and Hunter; several nieces and nephews; and a very special aunt, Virginia B. Harmon. She was preceded in death by a brother, Homer E. Mead; and two grandchildren, Phillip and Angel. Special thanks to Dr. Kunz and all of the staff at the Adena Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, Billy Justice officiating. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at Haller's.
