Willis Yoakum

Willis Eugene Yoakum, 73, of South Salem, Ohio, passed away Wednesday night, July 22, 2020 at his home, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born July 26, 1946, in Bainbridge, Ohio to the late Milton David and Nettie Marie (Morris) Yoakum. On October 30, 1965, he married Linda L. (Tennant) Yoakum, and together they shared nearly 55 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by a sister, Elizabeth (Jim) Sweeney, of Lakeland, FL; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty (Charles) West, and his brothers, Pete Yoakum, Roger Yoakum, John (Dinah) Yoakum, and Marshall Yoakum.
Willis was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army who served from 1968-1970. He went on to work at the Aim Packaging Plant for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed his Harley Motorcycles and taking motorcycle trips with his wife.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation services will be performed. There will be no public calling hours or services.
