Willie Young

Willie Young, 80, of Chillicothe, formerly of Danville, IL, went on to Glory at 9:00pm Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at Traditions of Chillicothe. He was born July 31, 1931, in Covington, TN, to the late Ashley and Gussie (Hall) Young. On March 23, 1951, he married the former Anna R. Fletcher, who survives. Also surviving is his daughter Sharon S. Davis, Champagne, IL; his son, Raymond A. Young, Nashville, TN; daughter and son-in-law Angela R. Young and George Robinson, of Chillicothe; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters. Mr. Young worked for General Motors for 39 years. He was an active member of Union Baptist Church. Willie enjoyed watching little league baseball, football and soccer. A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon, Saturday, May 12, at the Union Baptist Church, 1031 N. Gilbert St., Danville, IL, 61832. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
