Willie Thrash

Willie E. Thrash, Sr., 67, of Chillicothe, died at 10:06am January 24, 2015, at Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born November 24, 1947, in Carrollton, GA, to the late John W., Sr. and Elma R. (Collier) Thrash. He is survived by his sons Avery Lanier, of Kissimmee, FL; Willie Thrash, Jr., Louisville, KY; daughter Pamela West, of Germany; 9 grandchildren; his longtime companion Diane Tyler Shannon, of Chillicothe; brothers John (Debbie) Thrash, Jr.; Carl Thrash; Jerome (Paula) Thrash; Kenny (Donna) Thrash; a sister Ernestine Dixon; step-sons Steven Tyler and Sheldon Tyler; a special brother-in-law Craig P. Tyler; and three special friends Gregory "Rick" Cousins; Brian Simmons; and Edward Burton. Willie worked as a cook for Max & Erma's. He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, February 5, at the Haller Funeral Home with Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am until 1pm Thursday at Haller's.
