William Snyder

Dr. William M. Snyder, 92, of Chillicothe, died 10:50 am, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born March 4, 1920 in Chillicothe to the late F. Marcus and Gladys Myers Snyder. On September 23, 1960 he married the former Patricia Trader, who survives. Also surviving are his children, John (Melissa) Snyder and Keith Snyder, both of Chillicothe; a sister, Isobel (John) Young, of Columbus; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Snyder, of Williamsport. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Francis, George and Glen and a sister, Patricia. Dr. Snyder was a World War II Army Veteran, He graduated in 1954 from the Ohio State University with a degree in dentistry. He practice 54 years in Chillicothe. He was a member of the Ohio State University Alumni Association, the Rehwinkle Dental Society, a life member of the American Dental Association and Heber Lodge 0501, of Williamsport, and a former member of Scioto Lodge 6, the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, the York Rite, the Aladdin Shriners, the Kiwanis and the Lions Club. Private graveside services will be held in St. Margaret Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. Following his wishes, calling hour will not be observed.
