William Scott

William E. Scott, 56, of Chillicothe, passed away at home at 1:27am May 21, 2011, following an extended illness. He was born November 24, 1954, in Chillicothe to the late Jule Y., Sr. and Susan E. Oaks Scott. On November 23, 1996, he married the love of his life, the former Elizabeth J. Lane, who survives. Also surviving are his step-daughter Meggan Elizabeth Rinehart (Steven) Hayes, Kingston; step-son Jeromy Todd (Tiffany) Rinehart, Chillicothe; step-grandchildren Jordyn McKinley Rinehart and Micah Alan Rinehart; his mother-in-law Jean Lane and her companion Jim Newman, of Frankfort; father-in-law William (Janis) Lane, Frankfort; brother and sister-in-law Jule Y., Jr. (Nikki) Scott, of Kent, OH; brothers-in-law Ken (Tamara) Lane; and Bruce (Lynda) Lane, all of Frankfort; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Patricia Ann Fitchpritch and Sandy Eddings; and brothers Bobby Scott and Melvin Scott. Bill was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1973. He worked for over 25 years at the PPG Warehouse and was a well known and loved musician around Chillicothe. Bill enjoyed gardening and smoking meat. He will be remembered as a kind and wonderful man. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Monday, May 23, in the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Skip Cousins officiating. Friends may call from 1-3pm Monday at Haller Funeral Home.
