William Schuller

Dr. William O. Schuller Jr., OD, 75, of Chillicothe, died 12:38 pm, September 24, 2016, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born September 4, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to the late William O. and Blanche Moore Schuller. Survivors include brothers and sisters, Mary Ann Schuller, Thomas M. Schuller, Roselyn J. Schuller, all of Cleveland, and David A. Schuller, of Atlanta, GA; eight nephews; and five nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Schuller. Dr. Schuller was an optometric educator and a former First Lieutenant in the US Air Force. He retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as Chief of Optometry in 2002 and as an associate professor from the Ohio State University in 2007. He received his bachelor degree in 1965 from Ohio State and Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkley in 1969. He was a member of the American Legion Post 62 and AMVETS Post 44. Military graveside services, conducted by the United States Air Force, will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, OH 44270.
