William Mickey

William E. Mickey, Jr., 78, of Chillicothe, died Friday March 14, 2008, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, following an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, March 22, at Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. James Groves officiating. Military Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Soldiers Square in Greenlawn Cemetery. At his request, calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. William was born August 31, 1929, in Chillicothe, to the late William E., Sr. and Madge Brown Mickey. On August 14, 1973, he married the former Martha J. Craven, who survives. Also surviving are his son William E. Mickey, III, Chillicothe; granddaughters Michelle and Julie Mickey; four brothers and one sister. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. William was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran. He attended Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church where he was also employed as custodian.
