William Lynch

Rev. William B. Lynch, 59, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at 8:00am Sunday, August 20, 2006, in Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis, OH. He was born November 4, 1946, in Chillicothe, to Edward L., Sr. and S. Elizabeth Woodfork Lynch. On November 21, 1967, he married the former Victoria A. Brown, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, S. Elizabeth Lynch; his daughter and son-in-law Sarina (Scott) Howard; son Charles Lynch, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Brittni, Brianna, Joshua, Scott, Jr., Charlie Ann, Saune, Kendrick, Davinica, Celina, and Daviana; brothers and sisters-in-law Edward L. (Janell) Lynch, Jr., Columbus; James E. (Deanna) Lynch; Roderick J. (Charity) Lynch; sisters and brothers-in-law Sondra K. (William) Thompson, all of Chillicothe; Joy A. (Samuel) Shabazz, Columbus; and a host of nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his father. Bill was the Safety Service Director for the City of Greenfield. He was also very active in the church and the community. He was the Pastor at Union Baptist Church, Blackwell, OH, as well as the Chaplain for the Ross Co. Sheriff Dept. He was an active member of Promise Keepers, NAACP, Greenfield Rotary, 2nd Vice-Moderator of Providence Assoc., and an active member of the Democratic Committee. Romans 1:16 Funeral services will be held 7:00pm Wednesday, August 23, 2006, in Zion Baptist Church, with Moderator Gilbert Craig officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00am Thursday in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7pm Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
