William L. Jenkins, 76, of Chillicothe, passed away at 7:58am on July 14, 2025, at his residence.

He was born October 10, 1948, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late David R. and Geneva (Oancea) Jenkins.

He is survived by his son, Seth Jenkins, his siblings: Dr. Edson H. (Cindy) Jenkins, of Bellefontaine, OH, Melissa (Albert) Barbour, of Martins Ferry, OH and Matthew D. Jenkins, of St. Clairsville, OH. Also, three nieces and one nephew.

William served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War from 1966-1969 and was honorably discharged. He had been a member of the VFW, Post 108 and the AmVets, Post 4. He had a passion for music and had been a member of the Great Seal of Ohio Band.

His funeral service will be held at 12:00 Wednesday, July 23, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral Wednesday at the funeral home.
