William Dudley

William A. "Ritt" Dudley, 81, formerly of Patriot, OH, died May 9, 2016, in the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe, "Veterans Homeland." He was born May 30, 1934, to the late William and Eliner (Terry) Pace. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father who raised him, Thomas E. Dudley, Sr.; brothers: Thomas E. Dudley, Jr., Theodore Terry and Karl Alston; and sister Mary Eloise Dudley-Green. He is survived by his children: Richard Dudley, Columbus; Tadeusz Dudley, Calif., and Regina Dudley, Columbus; grandchildren Felix Dudley, Calif., and Renessa Garland, Columbus; great-grandchildren Brian and Deleah Garland; his caregiver and friend, Janet Perry, Chillicothe; sisters Joyce (Raymond) Gibson, Columbus; and Wilma Anette (Ronald) Lewis, Birmingham, AL; and his uncle and aunt Emerson and Gloria Terry, Pasadena, CA. Mr. Dudley was a retired steel worker and served his country honorably in the US Air Force. The family would like to give special thanks to Ritt's angel and dearest, faithful friend and caregiver, Janet Perry; and also Ritt's loving and faithful "adopted" sons Brian Sturgill and Cody. Janet, Brian and the family extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and aids who cared for Ritt with such patience, compassion and kindness. Private services will be held under the direction of the HALLER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Chillicothe.
