William Donnells

William Drake Donnells, 82, of Chillicothe, died 5:45 pm, Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Traditions of Chillicothe, following a brief illness. He was born July 21, 1929 in Chillicothe to the late Ray and Ruth Shirey Donnells. On June 14, 1958 he married Joyce Ann Jones, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Kimberle (Thomas) Cunningham, Marian Donnells, David (Amy) Donnells, Mycle Brandy and Kevin Donnells; five grandchildren, Kelli, Thomas (Brooke) Jr., and Colin Cunningham, Drake and Carter Donnells; a great-grandchild, Kinley; sisters, Cheri Dickey, Mickie (Warner) Timmons and Patricia Sparks; a brother Joseph (Sally) Donnells; and special caregivers, Bonnie Garess and Sandy Hamlin. Bill served in the United States Navy and Army. He was a member of Scioto Lodge 6 F & AM, all York Rite Bodies, Aladdin Shriners, Ross Co. Shrine Club, and was a past exalted ruler of the BPOE 52. He was a member of Brookside Church and enjoyed woodworking, photography, cooking and portrait making. The family would like to thank Dr. Cathy Bishop for her care. Graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard and Rev. Jack Norman, will be held 2:30 pm Thursday in Twin Township Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
