William Dickerson

William R. Dickerson, 71, of Chillicothe, passed away January 5, 2008, in his home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, January 9, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Tad Grover officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00pm in Floral Hills Memory Garden, Circleville. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the funeral Wednesday. Bill was born May 21, 1936, in Detroit, MI, to Charles R. and Hazel Reid Dickerson. On September 19, 1964, he married the former Marilyn J. Crouse, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter and son-in-law Candace A. (Kenneth) Carr, of Caldwell, NJ; step-grandchildren: Kasey and Kandace Carr, of Pennsylvania; his mother, Hazel Dickerson, of Ponchatoula, LA; sister Joan McLellan, Three Rivers, MI; and sister and brother-in-law Carol (Davis) Robertson, Ponchatoula, LA. He was predeceased by his father, Charles R. Dickerson. Bill was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He retired from Central Center Hardware.
