William Breeden

William Jennings Breeden Jr., 88, of Chillicothe, died 10:22 pm, November 6, 2014, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. He was born October 13, 1926 in Danville, VA to the late William J. and Mary A. Higgs Breeden Sr. On June 28, 1952 he married Velma J. Lively, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Jamie (Mike) Rowe and Julie Breeden, of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Tiffany Leatherwood and Brittany Rowe; two great-grandchildren, Andrew Leatherwood and Madison Sheets; a sister, Ruth Ann Goodchild, of Circleville; and two half brothers, Tom and Frances Breeden. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine McNeal. Mr. Breeden retired from Mead Paper, following 45 years of service. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 731. Mr. Breeden was an avid Ohio State sports and Cincinnati Reds fan. He attended Brookside Church. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. David Dean and Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at Haller's. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
