William "Bill" Thomas Nichols

William “Bill” Nichols, 75, passed away on January 8, 2026, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born on September 20, 1950, to the late William and Roamy (Cox) Nichols. On June 19, 1971, he was united in marriage to Patricia (Dickey) Nichols, who survives. They spent 55 years together where they built a family full of love.

Also surviving are children, Tommy (Brenda) Nichols, Tony P. (Elaine) Nichols; grandchildren, Drew (Cassie) Nichols, Gabe Nichols and Ben Nichols; great-grandchildren, Rey and Renly Nichols, and nephews, Jimmy, Billy, and Dion Nichols. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Nichols. Bill is reunited with his dogs, Dixie and Daisy.

Bill received his Associate’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and became a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a Maintenance Supervisor at Heartland Nursing Home and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #600 and Chillicothe Moose Lodge #1626.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 2:00pm, at the Haller Funeral Home and Crematory, with Chaplin Paul Girdley officiating. Burial to follow in Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 12:00pm until the time of service.
