William H. Beach, 76, of Lehigh Acres, FL, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life on July 2, 2005, in Lehigh Regional Medical Center from heart and lung disease. He was born December 17, 1928, in Columbus, OH, to the late William and Bessie (Kimball) Beach. On November 18, 1967, he married the former Maureen Schumann, who survives. Also surviving are his daughter and son-in-law Pam (Gary) Aleshire, Huntsville, OH; step-son Jerry Whitt, North Fort Myers, FL; step-daughters LaDonna Foster (fiancée Ed Lippincott), Wilmington, OH; Tina (Eddie) Edwards, and step-daughter-in-law Sheri Oliver, all of Chillicothe; nine grandchildren: Trina White, Mindy Holbrook, Jesse Jones, Jerry Whitt, Jr., Stephanie Todd, Lucas Foster, Christina and Brianna Edwards, and Casey Oliver; ten great-grandchildren; a sister Violet Grim, Columbus, OH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a step-son Roger Whitt, a sister Eileen Birkhold; brothers-in-law Ralph Grim, Carl Birkhold, James and Jerry Schumann, a niece and a nephew. He was the owner and operator of Beach Signs in Circleville and Chillicothe, retiring in 1990 from his beloved profession, moving to Lehigh Acres, FL. He and his wife became partners in Fleetwood Travel and enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world as group escorts until 1995, gaining many friends. He was a member of St. Raphael Church and the Knights of Columbus #6265, Lehigh Acres, FL, and a lifetime member of VFW #3331. Bill was also a WWII Navy Veteran. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am, Thursday July 14, 2005, at St. Mary Catholic Church, where he was a former member, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow in St. Mary Parish Family Life Center. A military graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
