William Arthur Barlage, 69, of Lucasville, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Scioto Trails, formerly Good Shepherd Manor, following a brief illness. He was born October 8, 1948, in San Francisco, CA, to the late Robert M. and Alberta (Keating) Barlage. Bill is survived by his four brothers, Martin Barlage, of Chillicothe, Michael (Shirley) Barlage, of Washington, Henry (Carolyn) Barlage, of Chillicothe, and George (Brenda) Barlage, of North Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends who were like family to him at Scioto Trails. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Joanne Barlage. Bill was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He enjoyed playing basketball, table tennis, reading magazines and loved to have fun with his friends. He was also a regular participant in the Special Olympics and played on the basketball team. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. Sean Dooley, Celebrant. A private burial at Mount Saint Joseph Cemetery will be held at a later date. Friends may attend a visitation from 9:30-10:30am on Saturday at Haller Funeral Home.
