Wilbur Viney

Wilbur Eugene Viney, 78, died 6:28 am, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at his home, following an extended illness. He was born September 20, 1934 in Chillicothe to the late Harold and Dorothy Powell Viney. Survivors include his children, Marvin (Teresa Ragland) Viney, of Chillicothe; Curtis and Crystal Viney, both of Troy, and Calvin Viney, of Piqua; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including two special grandsons with whom he lived, Quentin and Garrett Ragland; three sisters, Catherine Patterson Payne Viney, Sylvia Smith, and Veda Hurley; three brothers, Charles, Robert and Ben Viney; and several nieces and nephews, including a special great-nephew, Elliott Patterson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Reid; and three brothers, Harold Jr., Sydney, and Russell Viney. Mr. Viney retired as a data processor with the Dayton Electrical Supply Center and was a US Army veteran. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at the Haller Funeral Home.
