Wetus K. Netter, Jr., 83, of Chillicothe, died 9:50 pm, Saturday, August 9, 2014, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born December 8, 1930 in Chillicothe, OH to the late Wetus and Celetty Smith Netter. On April 17, 1954, he married Esther M. Bunch, who died February 13, 2010. Surviving are his sons Tony and Rick (Karen) Netter, of Chillicothe; daughter and son-in-law Monalee (Bo) Cosby, of Ray; grandchildren: Randy Brown; Aleah, Ashley and Brock Netter; and Jalyn Cosby; great-grandchildren: Jama Brandon; Kelsee Ferrell; Lyndon White; and Deegan Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by two sisters, Audrey Poindexter and Kathleen Netter, and a brother, Arthur Netter Sr. Mr. Netter worked as a nursing assistant at the former Chillicothe Hospital, for over 30 years at the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and retired in 2009 from the Adena Health System, as their longest term employee, with over 50 years of service. He was also a US Air Force Korean War veteran. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, at the Original Glorious Church of God IN Christ Church, Bishop Melvin Maughmer, officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
