Wayne Winegardner

Wayne B. Winegardner, 86, of Chillicothe, died 7:05 am, Friday, June 25, 2010, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born July 5, 1923 in Rushville, OH to the late Dale and Opal Warne Winegardner. On April 4, 1943, he married the former Clare Reese, who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Rodney (Sandra) and Randy Winegardner, both of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Dr. Stephanie Winegardner and Kevin (Kelley) Winegardner, both of Chillicothe; and great-grandchildren, Kassidey, Abbey, Jack and Wyatt Winegardner. He was preceded in death by a brother Wilbur Winegardner. Mr. Winegardner was a partner in the WRH Co. and former owner/operator of the Sterling Vault Company. He was a World War II US Army Veteran where he was awarded a Purple Heart. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in Springbank Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
