Wayne "Weiner" Williamson, 68, passed away due to an extended illness at 1:50 pm on July 22, 2005. He was surrounded by his family who will miss him dearly. Wayne was the son of Floyd and Virginia Shaw Williamson, who preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Ruth Ann Prater Williamson; sons, Mark (Stacy) Williamson, and Todd Williamson; daughter Camille (Rick) Leadingham; a brother, Larry Williamson; sisters Barbara (Jim) Kutchback, Linda Ross, and Sylvia Williamson; and a granddaughter, Danielle Williamson; step grandchildren, Brenda Detty, Chase and Lance Leadingham, all of Chillicothe. Wayne was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and horse racing enthusiast. He was a US Army Veteran, a Past Commander of American Legion Post 62, and a life member of AMVETS Post 4. Wayne had retired from the Mead Corporation. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday in the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday at Haller's. Immediately following the graveside service, the family will receive friends at the AMVETS Post 4. Those attending the visitation and funeral are encouraged to wear Ohio State apparel in memory of Wayne's love for the Buckeyes. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
