Wayne G. Fout, beloved father and husband, age 99, of Chillicothe, died 5:05 am, Monday, May 14, 2012, at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home. He was born December 28, 1912 in Ross Co. to the late Charles C. and Mae Fletcher Fout. He shared 62 years of marriage with the former Anna Seymour, who died February 26, 1999. Survivors include two daughters, Kay (Bud) Hampton, of Stoutsville and Peggy (Gary) Scott, of Chillicothe; a son, Jack (Beverly) Fout, of Waverly; eight grandchildren, Terry Hampton, Cheryl Eilola, Sarah Rinehart, Amanda and Victoria Scott, David Fout, and Laura Fallon; four great-grandchildren, Ariel Eilola, Beth, Ashley, and Matt Rinehart; a great-great-grandchild, Cassie Rinehart; and two sisters-in-law, Maxine and Dorothy Fout. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Maude Jones, Maize Bower, Georgia Jenkins, Wanda, Arthur, Martin, Jesse and Farrell Fout. Mr. Fout farmed in Pickaway County for several years, retired from the US Shoe Corporation after 44 years and from Millers Sales and Service after 12 years. He was a member of Brookside Church and enjoyed playing the piano at the church and several local nursing homes. He had written and published his own song, and was a great storyteller. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
