Wanda Haskins

March 29, 1932 — December 5, 2024

Wanda Mae Haskins passed away at the age of 92 years on Thursday, December 5th 2024.

Wanda spent her life passionately committed to the healing of others through prayer and her vocation as a nurse. She began her career as a nurse at the age of thirty-six having graduated with honors in the midst of raising six children. She retired from the Veteran's Hospital in Chillicothe, Ohio. It was not unusual for her to sneak her son Matt into the hospital to play his guitar and sing to her patients.

She loved her children and grandchildren deeply and took every opportunity to brag about their unique gifts.

She spent her retired years sharing her faith in the Lord , enjoying her family and life on her farm.

Now that Wanda has passed into the arms of our Lord, her physical life on earth is over but it is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her.

Her loved ones look forward to the day we are united at the table of our Lord. Until that day we will find comfort in Wanda's favorite scripture "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things". Philippians 4:8

Surviving are her Brother Roy Brown (Dottie), Daughters, Becky Rogge (Mark), Theresa Cutlip, Laura Thimons (Paul); Sons, Matthew Bonner, Joseph Bonner(Toni); step-children Michelle Pommer, Cindy Mergo, and Craig Haskins; grandchildren, Jesse Ewing, Bobby Bonner, Nicholas Bonner, Mathew Bonner, Kristie Bonner, Katie Cutlip, Patrick Thimons, Danny Thimons, Luke Bonner, Ryan Bonner, and Erika Bonner; as well as many beloved great-grandchildren, and nephews.

Wanda joins her parents Jesse and Opal Brown in heaven along with two children, infant daughter Mary Bonner; her son Robert Bonner;her husband Dr. William Haskins; grandchildren, Heidi Cutlip, Lori Cutlip, Dusty Cutlip; son-in-law, Jeff Cutlip, nephew, Scott Brown and the father of her children, Robert Bonner Sr.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Haller Funeral Home Friday December 13 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Wanda's memory to National Church Residences Hospice, 681 E. 3 rd Street, Waverly, OH, 45690.

Wanda's family will be forever grateful for the companionate care she received from the staff at Traditions Assisted Living and National Church Residence Hospice.
