Walter Easterday

Walter B. Easterday, 83, of Chillicothe, passed away at 02:48pm, on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at the Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Ross County on August 3, 1932, to the late Harvey and Mary (Chaney) Easterday. Walter is survived by a son, Timothy (Tara) Easterday, of St. Petersburg, FL; a daughter and her husband, of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother, Marlin D. Easterday, of Chillicothe; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Virgil Easterday, Everett Easterday, Ruth (Rinehart) Easterday, Foster Easterday, and Roger Easterday; and also a sister-in-law, Alice Easterday. Walter was a graduate of Chillicothe High School. He worked as a rental property investor, and he was also an ordained minister. He was a very active member of the S.A.L.T. group in Chillicothe, and a member of the Ministers Association. Walter was a compassionate person and loved his family. He also dedicated his entire life to God. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00am until the time of the service on Wednesday.
