Wallace Hatfield

Wallace (Wally) Dean Hatfield, of Circleville, was born on February 12, 1940 to Hezzy and Audrey Hatfield. He was the second eldest of nine children. Wallace attended Ross County Public Schools. He accepted and professed his love for God at a early age. He was employed at DuPont in Circleville Ohio for 30 plus years. He retired from DuPont in 1996. In 1990, Wallace met his beloved wife LaVerne. After a brief courtship they were joined in Holy Matrimony November 21, 1991. Wallace and LaVerne enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends in Toledo and Cleveland. Wallace enjoyed countless hours of watching television. His favorite TV programs were World Wrestling Federation matches, Horse Racing, after noon soap operas, and Judge Judy. He also had a great love for the Blues. He could listen to his blues music for hours and with a full cup of coffee he was in a world of his own! On January 20, 2011, God whispered to Wally, "Your job here on earth is done. I have made a place for you in the eternal garden of peace". Wallace is survived by his loving wife Laverne, six sisters; Patsy Nelson (Jackson Ohio), Sheila Moore (Toledo Ohio), Shirley Hatfield (Toledo Ohio), Pamela Wingo (Chillicothe Ohio), Sharon Perkins (Chillicothe Ohio) and Inez and brother-in-law Howard Lewis (Dayton Ohio); two brothers; Marshall Hatfield (Frankfort Ohio), Paul Hatfield and sister-in-law Annette (Toledo Ohio); numerous nieces, nephews a host of friends and a special love for his buddy "Cooper". Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Bishop Melvin Maughmer and Minister Howard Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11-1 Wednesday at Haller's.
