Wahnee Pearl Marie Carroll, 75, of Chillicothe, passed unexpectedly from this life to be re-joined with her beloved husband on Thursday, March 17, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 21, 1935, in Chillicothe, to the late Earl and Rose Fornash Sullivan. On December 25, 1951, she married Jesse Earl Carroll, who preceded her in death on July 28, 1999. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Teresa (Donald) Miller, Chillicothe; son Emmitt Carroll, Lucasville; grandchildren: Amanda Miller and her fiancée Christopher Steele, Kingston; and Mindi (Dan) Plessinger, Chillicothe; great-grandchildren: Ollie, Emilee, Benny, Quincy and Danielle; sisters and brothers-in-law Linda (Richard) Lance, Chillicothe; Mary Mann, Columbus; Dina Smith, Wellston; Karen (Duane) Detty, Chillicothe; Caryl (Bill) Price, Chillicothe; Jo (Phillip) Melott, Chillicothe; a brother Daryl Sullivan; a brother-in-law Noah Skaggs, of Columbus; and many friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her brother John Sullivan; sister Violet Skaggs; and brothers-in-law Ralph Mann and Duffy Smith. Pearl had worked at the US Shoe Factory and later retired from the Nourse Family of Dealerships. She was very proud to have obtained her GED. Pearl was an avid cat lover and was known to take in and care for a stray or two. At her request, calling hours will not be observed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either: Ross Co.
