Virginia Welshimer

Virginia K. Welshimer, 86, of Chillicothe, died 11:55 pm, Wednesday, March 4, 2009, in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness. She was born December 21, 1922 in Wellston, OH to Eber and Mamie Scott Sullivan. She married Carl D. Welshimer, who died March 8, 1969. Survivors include three daughters, Loretta H. Kellough, Becky (Gary) Wilson, and Lois Dickson, all of Chillicothe; two sons, Donald (Vivian) Welshimer, of Kingston and Stephen Welshimer, of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grand children; 1 great great-grandchild; and a sister, Hope Carroll, of Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Roger; two sisters; and a brother. Mrs. Welshimer was a homemaker and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston, with Rev. John Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends at Trinity United Methodist Church immediately following the graveside services.
