Virginia Sampson

Virginia Allen Sampson, 82, of Chillicothe, died 10:40 pm, Friday, June 19, 2015, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born March 12, 1933 in Livermore, KY to the late Otto H. and Louise Fitts Mason. On February 22, 1952 she married David D. Sampson, who died June 12, 2002. Survivors include her daughter, Sherry (Michael) Kline, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kimberly Conaway, of Chillicothe and David Conaway, of Dublin, OH; a great-grandson, Noah Conaway; a sister, Peggy (Harold) Love; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Charlotte Stabler. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Mildred Saunders, Mary Helen Beatty, Betty Skinner, Patsy Beatty, and Barbara Mason. Virginia was a member of the First Wesleyan Church, the Red Hat Society, Ross County Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing Euchre. She retired from Wear-Ever as an inspector. The family would like to thank all who helped Ginny the most, when she needed it most. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Haller Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Springlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
