Virginia Rippeth

Virginia E. Rippeth, 84, of Chillicothe, died 9:50 am, Friday, November 11, 2011, at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born April 18, 1927 in Jackson, OH to the late Harry and Cleo Goheen Luster. On September 7, 1946 she married John L. Rippeth, who died September 11, 2007. Survivors include her children, David (Joan) Rippeth, Cathy Cox, Jill Merriman, Beth (Martin) Litter, Timothy Rippeth and Lisa (Kelly) Hill; her grandchildren, Amy Stafford, Eric (Robin) Rippeth, Cory (Tori) Cox, Casey (Jessica) Cox, Lyndsi Litter, Jansen (Denise) Litter, Corbin Hill, Collin Hill, Luke Rippeth, Landon Rippeth, Jeff Tatman and Traci Tatman; eight great-grandchildren, Lillianna, Halle, Ezra, Carson, Brendan, Macie, Audrey and Chelsea. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Luster, and a sister, Louise Wallace. Mrs. Rippeth enjoyed crocheting and volunteering at the Chillicothe City Schools. She was an excellent cook and baker. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers Diane and Kendra, and all of the staff at Heartland. Private graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home.
