Virginia Conley

Virginia L. Conley, 88, of Chillicothe, died 12:05 pm, September 13, 2010, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born October 14, 1921 in Ross Co. to Clarence and Dorothy Simmons Smith. On October 1, 1938 she married Willis Conley, who died in 1974. Survivors include two daughters, Janet (Ralph) Harris, of Ocala, FL and Marilyn (Ralph) Clay, of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Gerald (Judy) Clay, Angie (Dwayne) Presley, Katrina Ragland, Jeff Jones, Marill and Viveca Clay, and Jason (Cayla) Conley; eight great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Marguerite Conley, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Conley. Mrs. Conley worked as a nursing assistant with the Chillicothe VA Medical Center and retired from the Chillicothe City Schools as a cook. She was a former Sunday school teacher and member of The Original Glorious Church of God In Christ church. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home, Bishop Melvin Maughmer and Ralph L. Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden.
