Virginia M. Clifton, 86, of Circleville, formerly of Chillicothe, passed away Monday evening, November 29, 2021 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born July 3, 1935 in Circleville, Ohio, daughter of the late Morton and Mary (Happeny) Call. She went on to marry her beloved husband, Carl V. Clifton, who preceded her in death March 1, 2021.
Surviving are their three children, Dwayne Clifton, Annetta Smith, and Daphne Clifton; grandchildren, Kelly and Robyn Downing, and Ariel, Dennin, and Alex Carr; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Helena Kazee, and Dennis Call. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Bradford Call.
Virginia worked as a talented baker for many years, and spent time working at Lindsay's Bakery in Circleville. In her free time, she enjoyed volunteering at the Ross County Senior Citizens Center, making crafts, and baking.
A funeral service will be held for family and friends at 2:00pm on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Haller Funeral Home, with Chaplain Dean Queen officiating.
