Violet Barnard

Violet M. Barnard, 85, a beautiful angel, went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2018, at SOMC Hospital at 7:20pm. She was born May 13, 1933, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Henry and Effie Fodge.   Surviving are 7 children: Helen (Ronnie) Hardin, of Minford, OH; William Barnard, Jr., Chillicothe; Rebecca (Don, Sr.) Hutton, Chillicothe; Cynthia Barnard, Chillicothe; Sara (James) Blaney, Columbus; Patricia (Mike) McCallister, Wheelersburg, OH; Lisa Smith, Chillicothe; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Barnard, Sr.; a son Kevin David Barnard; and a grandson Jason McKillips. She had three brothers and six sisters; 2 of her sisters and a brother are living.   She was a member of the Church of God for 62 years and her current pastor was Don Hutton, Sr. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:   Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.   Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday, June 3 at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Ronald Legg officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
