Viola Fincher

Viola Mae Fincher, 102, of Chillicothe, passed away early Thursday morning, November 12, 2020 at her home, following a brief illness.

She was born May 2, 1918, in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Effie (Hansberry) Cunningham.

Surviving are her two grandsons, Tony and Terry White; her sister, Jean Mayle; a brother-in-law, Willie J. Gardner, Sr.; as well as several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Albert White, Sr., Reginald Morgan, and Rev. James Fincher; her two children, Albert White, Jr., and Charles White; two siblings, Millard Cunningham, and Juanita Gardner; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Cunningham.

Viola was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chillicothe. While living in Florida, she enjoyed getting to attend the Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale. In her free time, she loved reading her bible and cooking for her loved ones. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Southern Baptist Convention of Ministers Wives.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services at this time. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church in her honor.
