Vincent Cuzzolini

June 12, 1955 — February 22, 2022

Vincent Peter Cuzzolini, 66, died on Feb. 22, 2022, after a struggle with cancer and other health complications. He was born on June 12, 1955, in Oak Park, Illinois, the son of Ralph and Mary (Frustini) Cuzzolini. As a child, he moved to Ashland, Ohio, where he grew up and was graduated from Ashland High School. Vince then went on to fulfill a boyhood dream by attending and being graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in political science.   Vince is survived by his wife Hope Parks, son Christian Michael, and daughter Ella Elizabeth, along with brothers Peter (Linda), John (Cheryl), sister Lena, sister-in-law Jeanette Cuzzolini, brother and sister-in law Clayton and Erin Parks, sister and brother-in-law Jessica and Brian McDonald, five nieces, five nephews, two grandnephews, a grandniece, plus numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws Dr. Thomas and Marian Parks, brother Anthony Cuzzolini, and beloved infant daughter Fegan Kathryn Parks Cuzzolini who he is rocking in his arms just about now.   Vince never could quite decide his career path, so he explored many options. Some of his favorite places to work were Xerox, Bishop Flaget School and Domino's Pizza. Vince's three passions in life were his faith, his family and the Fighting Irish. He enjoyed golfing with his son, cowboy movies, true crime shows, math problems, crossword puzzles and a well thought out political debate. He was a Cleveland Browns fan, and had a vast knowledge of baseball stats, still saddened by the Dodgers leaving Brooklyn. When Vince first moved to Chillicothe, he was active in the Knights of Columbus, serving as president and competing on their bowling team.   The family would like to thank all those who helped us on our journey: the book club, the coffee clan, PRCTC friends, our church family, Marlee, Elijah, Alec, Mary and Mark, Dee, the kind staff of Heartland Hospice, the nurses at the Adena Cancer Center, Father Jacob Stinnett, Seminarian David Johnstone, Dr. Jeffrey Rose and Dr. Kathleen Villarreal.   Vince's greatest treasure were his children whom he supported no matter their life decisions with the same stoic "Italian Dad" expression which never changed. He was probably proudest of being able to say "I love you" out loud and hear it returned over and over these last few months.   Vince wanted "the works" so that is what we are going to strive to give him. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30pm Saturday, March 5, 2022, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Jacob Stinnett, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call from 10am until 12pm Saturday at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.   In lieu of flowers we ask that contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Mary Catholic Church, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, OH 45601; or a charity of your choice.
