Vicki Sewards

Vicki L. Sewards, 63, of Columbus, formerly of Chillicothe, died January 9, 2013, at her residence, following an extended illness. She was born June 27, 1949 in Ross Co. to the late Frankie and Charlene Woodfork Maughmer. On May 23, 1987 she married Myers M. Sewards, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Rhonda (Richard) Hammond, Ellen Tanner, and Zenobia Glenn-Thomas, all of Columbus and Larry Maughmer, of St. Petersburg, FL; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four sisters, Linda Mitchell, Terri (Wendell) Mullens, Tawana "Ginger" Mask, and Doressa (Chico) Jackson; two brothers, Russell and Jeffrey (Gail) Jackson; a special cousin, Theresa Anderson; a special uncle, Bishop Melvin (Sharon) Maughmer; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Maughmer and a brother Larry Maughmer. Mrs. Sewards was a nursing assistant with Heartland of Chillicothe. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Original Glorious Church of God, Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the church on Monday.
