Vernon Viney

Vernon V. "Ben" Viney, 76, of Chillicothe, died 5:15 am, Monday, October 13, 2014 at Heartland of Chillicothe, following an extended illness. He was born June 12, 1938 in Chillicothe to the late William H. and Dorothy D. Powell Viney. Survivors include his children, Vernon V. Viney Jr. and Verna Dayton, both of Chillicothe; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and one on the way; two brothers, Chuck Viney, of Frankfort and Bob Viney, of Chillicothe; three sisters, Kathryn Payne, of Chillicothe and Veda Hurley and Sylvia Smith, both of Troy. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold William "Cokie", Russell, and Wilbur "Ted"; and a sister, Betty Reed. Ben was a self employed auto mechanic. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
