Vernon E. "Butch" Bolte Vernon E. "Butch" Bolte, 69, of Londonderry, died 7:47 pm, April 3, 2008, in the Adena Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday in the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor James Taylor officiating. Burial will in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 2-6 pm Sunday at Haller's, where a Masonic service will be held at 5:30 pm. He was born July 15, 1938 in Londonderry to Frank and Helen R. Timmons Bolte. On July 9, 1957 he married Shirley Park, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, James Bolte, of Londonderry and Scott (Sarena) Bolte, of Greenup, KY; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Bolte, of Chillicothe; four grandsons, Chris, Patrick, Benjamin, of Londonderry and Tommy, of Chillicothe; four granddaughters, Rachel and Kathryn, of Chillicothe and Autumn and Jessica, of Londonderry; three sisters, Mary Ann (Carroll) Thacker, of Chillicothe, Dorothea (Dr. Charles) Platt, of Versailles, OH, and Kay (Paul) Linn, of Indiana; sisters-in-law, Loueda Straziuso and Betty Bolte; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Vernon E. "Butchie" Bolte; four brothers, Donald and John Bolte and two infant brothers; and a sister Roberta (John) Hawk. Butch owned and operated Bolte Food Mart in Londonderry. He was a member of the Logan Elm Lodge F & AM; the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus; the Aladdin Shriners; the Ross Co. Shrine Club; and the Appalachian Hillbillies. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners' Hospital, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095.
