Vauda Bland

Vauda Pauline Bland, 96, of Chillicothe, died Friday, December 1, 2017, at National Church Residences-Chillicothe.   She was born November 6, 1921 in Hickory Co., Missouri, to the late Clyde and Mildred Williams Campbell. On July 10, 1946 she married Calton W. Bland, who died June 4, 1966. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela K. Hiles, Chillicothe; a grandson, Timothy Hiles, Chillicothe; great-grandchildren, Timothy Jr., Autumn and Zachary Hiles; two siblings, Efton and Bernie Campbell; a step-daughter, Patricia Salisbury and her loving family; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael; a grandson, Jeremy Hiles; two brothers, Kenneth and Bill Campbell; and a stepson, Tom Bland Rippee, whose loving family survives.   Mrs. Bland was a private nurse and a lifelong member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.   The family would like to thank National Church Residences-Chillicothe and their hospice team for the excellent care.   Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. Robert Bland, of Merritt, FL officiating. Graveside services, conducted by Rev. Fred Fox, will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 11:00 am -1:00 pm Saturday at Haller's.
