V. Parrett

V. Ruth Parrett, 89, of Chillicothe, died 9:50 pm, Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.   She was born June 7, 1924 in Cherokee, KY to the late Lewis Alonzo and Laura Bell Griffith Young.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Everett Parrett; sons, Jeffrey Lee Parrett and Keith Edwin Parrett; brothers, Crate, Kenneth and Herbert Young; and a sister, Mary Ethel Dent. She is survived by her sister, Lorna Doone Wylie, of Grove City, OH; daughters, Beverly (Russ) Davis, Chillicothe, Jodi (Randy) Mokrzycki, Atlanta GA, Susan (Patrick) McAllister, and Lisa (Butch) Oates, both of Chillicothe; sons, Ronald (Hui Cha) Parrett, Kempner, TX and David (Cathy) Parrett, Molalla, OR; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.   Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Mel Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday at Haller's.
