Una Hickel

Una June Hickel, 84, of Chillicothe, passed away at 08:46am on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her home. She was born in Chillicothe on May 28, 1931, to the late Guy T. and Nellie (Edwards) Pigott, Sr. On December 16, 2006, she married William Hickel who survives. Also surviving are her two children, Eric (Deborah) Anderson, of Georgetown, and Erin Anderson, of Pasadena, CA; a grandson, Dustin (Christine) Dennewitz; two granddaughters, Nicolette Catalano, of Minneapolis, MN, and Andrea (Jimmy Amaya) Catalano, of Atlanta GA; three great-grandchildren, Tristan and Samantha Dennewitz, of Amelia, OH; and Giavanna Adele Catalano Klint, of Minneapolis, MN; several nieces and nephews; her step-children, Debbie (Paul) Hickel Robinett, Tammy (Greg) Kight, and William A. Hickel; her step-grandchildren, Danielle (Jared) Penrod, Daniel (Becky) Robinett, Bill Richardson, Carey Richardson, April (David Duncan) Richardson, Bryan Bost, and Dwight Boyd Hickel; and her step-great-grandchildren, Trevor and McKenzie Penrod, Emily and Abby Richardson, Samantha and Christopher Hamilton, Jacob Ward, Anna Marie Stover, and Dylan Bost. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her two brothers, Clyde Pigott and Guy T. Pigott, Jr., and her dog Ellie Mae. June enjoyed attending the Londonderry United Methodist Church and she had many hobbies. She loved reading, sewing, organic gardening, knitting, and refinishing antiques. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Haller Funeral Home. Calling hours will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetic Association.
