Judith E. Tyo, 78 of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at 11:20pm October 7, 2021, in Pickaway Manor, Circleville, following an extended illness. She was born May 3, 1943, in Chillicothe, to the late Charles F. and Ruth (Shepherd) Shewalter. On January 27, 1963, she married her eternal love Clyde James Tyo, Jr., who preceded her in death April 3, 1966. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law Bryan (Risa) Tyo, of McKinney, TX, and Brent (Mary Ann) Tyo, of Chillicothe; 2 grandsons Lucas and Austin (Bug) Tyo, both of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her in-laws Clyde Sr. and Margaret Tyo, her brother Robert Shewalter and sister Marsha Hatfield. Judy was a 1962 graduate of Chillicothe High School and retired after 20+ years from Citizens National Bank. She enjoyed making and collecting dolls, cooking and baking, quilting and creating many crafts. She was a member of the Eagles, Aerie 600. Above all, Judy's family was the most important to her. Her graveside service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, October 12, in Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Pickaway Manor, the Hospice Care Team from National Church Residences as well as the staff at Allen's Pharmacy for their care and kindness.
