Tula E. G. Moody, 77, of Chillicothe, passed away on Thursday evening, August 1, 2024 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born March 19, 1947, in Chillicothe, daughter of the late Floyd and Myrtle (Luckett) Netter I.
Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Darren (Carrie) Hall; her niece who she was like a second mother to, Barbara "Sissy" Netter; beloved grandchildren, Saige (Marty) Dunn, and Daiquan (fiancé Aracely Lopez) Hall; great-grandchildren, Evie Grace Dunn and Sariyah Jade Hall; her three sisters, Valla Allen, Tarza Greene, and Worletta Mask; two brothers, Floyd (Karen) Netter II, and Bill (Joyce) Netter; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Vera Netter, Kathy Netter, and Barbara Liggins.
Tula worked at the Chillicothe Metropolitan Housing Authority for many years before retiring. She was a member of the New Life Christian Church, where she enjoyed attending services when able. In her free time, she loved taking long walks when her health would allow it. But most of all, she loved getting to spend time with her family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Original Glorious Church with Pastor Victor Cousins, Eulogist. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service on Wednesday.
