Troy W. Hoops Troy W. Hoops, 65, of Chillicothe, died 6:10 am, March 5, 2008 in his home, following an extended illness. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans' Honor Guard, will be held 3 pm Tuesday in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home. He was born December 4, 1942 in Jackson, OH to Troy M. and Myrna Channel Hoops. He graduate from Jackson High School and then proudly served in the United States Navy. In 1964 he married his hometown girlfriend, Judith K. Hess, and a couple of years later they moved to Chillicothe. He worked many years for the electric company before opening his own business, Tax-R-Us, which, thanks to his sons, will continue as a legacy to his dream. He became much happier being his own boss and working more directly with people. Troy is survived by his wife Judy; his sons Brent and Eric; his daughter-in-law Steva; his granddaughters, Rain and Lyric; his mother, Myrna; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Andy Townsend and Sylvia and Rand Seibold; and his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Lynne Hoops. He has been active in the American Legion Post 62, the Sons of the American Legion and the USS Conway Association. He was proud to be a veteran and worked to help other veterans and the community.
