Tristan Nathanial Miller, 17, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly Sunday, November 12, 2017.
He was born September 12, 2000 in Chillicothe to Jeff and Jennifer Woods Miller, who survive. Also surviving are his brothers Tyler and Treyton; a sister Hannah; grandparents, Mike and Carole (Bunny) Acord and George and Susan Woods; several aunts, uncles, and cousins including Valerie Woods, Jamie, Tammy, Holly, and Michael Miller, Jerry, Heather, Jordan, Jerod, Evan, and Brooke Miller, Janel Miller, Drew and Dallas Trusty, Angie, Blake, Tracy, and Mikey Osborne, Shannon Taylor, Judy, Keith, Nicholas, Tori, and Stephen Hood, Karen, Tracy, Ashli, Benjamin, Gabe, and Karli Bower, and Kathy, Kevin, Kameron and Kim Wolfe. He was predeceased by his Grandfather, Walter D. Miller.
Tristan was a junior a Zane Trace High School. He was an outstanding son, brother, friend and a genuinely good person. Of his many exceptional attributes, the most evident and obvious was his heart. It was golden. The kindness, empathy and love that he demonstrated daily to his friends and family was not lost on anyone fortunate enough to interact with him. Words fail to adequately describe the impact he made on the people he knew and loved. He often seemed quiet and reserved in public but could be equally outgoing in private in a way that would have his friends and family doubled over laughing and left in awe of his intellectual brilliance at the same time. Through it all, the quality that shone through the most, as always, was his kindness. He was active in sports growing up, excelling at soccer, baseball and basketball, but basketball was his love. His athletic potential was just beginning to be realized, the result of endless hours of practice and dedication working to improve himself. Tristan loved watching NBA games especially when his favorite player, Derrick Rose was playing. He especially loved playing ball at home with his brothers and his friends. Tristan was an avid music lover. He enjoyed going to concerts with his family and was a magnificent drummer. A future career as a rock star was within his limitless abilities had he chosen that path. He loved jamming with his Dad and brother whether playing cover songs or writing his own original material. His best friend was his cousin Michael Miller, a bond so strong that it will remain until they meet again. He was also a best friend to his younger brother Trey and his older siblings Tyler and Hannah. Tristan was fortunate enough to have many friends, including the special group he played ball with at the park in Kingston, to which he enjoyed so much. His smile was enough to light the world or simply warm your heart, it was special, and contagious. He was our son, our brother and our friend and our love for him is eternal.
