Tonya Dye, 52, passed away unexpectedly at 4:03am on Wednesday, August 4, 2016 at Riverside Hospital. She was surrounded by her family. Tonya was born January 6, 1964 in Wellston, OH to the late Richard and Rita Bishop. She is survived by Amy (Jimmy) Akers, Kelly (Brian) Magill, Eric (Sarah) Nichols, and Nikki (Bob) Poling; Tonya's grandchildren: Sebashtyn Nichols, Tyler and Michael Magill, Shelby and Austin Christian, Sarah and Lexi Dye, and Adrianna Carver; great-grandsons: Blake Dye and Mayson Mock; brother Richard (Sally) Bishop, Jr; sister-in-law Margaret (Kevin) Hanna; nieces: Mandy, Julie, and Melinda and their spouses and children. Tonya will be deeply missed by her family, friends and her dog Barkley, whom she greatly adored. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her soul mate, husband Alfred Dye, Jr. Tonya was a 1981 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a very committed employee of Ross County Historical Society since 1998. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Don Kincaid officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm at Salem Cemetery, Wellston, OH. Friends and loved ones may call from 10:00am-1:00pm on Sunday at Haller's.
