D. Anthony "Tony" Mitchell, 67, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Friday evening, April 4, 2014, at his residence.
He was born June 1, 1946, in Chillicothe, to the late David H. and Carlene (Wilson) Mitchell.
Tony is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Debbie Burnett, of North Carolina; Sue (Jimmy) Wade, Kingston; Ann Marie (Derek) Vallery, Chillicothe; grandchildren Jared Wade and Maggie Vallery; sisters Diane Poole and her companion Jim Rago, Columbus; Rhea Dixon, Kingston; Sharon, Chillicothe; a brother Bobby Mitchell and his companion Tara DeMint; the mother of his children Phyllis (Steve) Arledge; and many friends including special buddy Dave Stewart. He was predeceased by his grandson Zachary Stepp; and a brother-in-law Gary Dixon.
Tony was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1964. He was a retired mechanic for Mid-Ohio Ambulance.
Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will be held at 3pm Tuesday, April 8, in Crouse Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
