Tommy Newland

Tommy Wayne Newland, 68, of Knockemstiff, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 at his home, following an extended illness. He was born February 14, 1950, in Chillicothe to the late Lewis "Mann" and Edna (Gire) Newland. On October 22, 2003, he married LaDonna (Ackley) Newland, who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Chad (Sabrina) Newland, of Chillicothe, and Josh (Amanda) Newland, of Waverly; his step-daughters, Tonya (Mike) Chaney, of Circleville, and Carrie McDonald, of Chillicothe; twelve grandchildren, Cassandra, Marisa, Kahlynn, Jaxon, Mattie, K.K., Elijah, Ryder, Gracie, Skylar, Savannah, and Zander; three siblings, Jimmy (Carole) Newland, of Waverly, Glenn (Regina) Newland, and Sharon (Steve) Rinehart, both of Chillicothe; his nephews, Travis Rinehart, Blake Rinehart, and Deric Newland; two nieces, Dawn Newland and Kim Ginther; two brothers-in-law, Anthony Ackley, and Duane (Polly) Ackley, both of Chillicothe; three sisters-in-law, Cindy Self, of Chillicothe, Jeanie (Tim) Mitchell, of Kansas City, MO, and Janie (Steve) Smith, of Stockton, MO; and his special friends, Liz Newland, John Long, Dike Newland, and Kenny Michael. Tommy was an avid golfer, loved playing poker, going fishing, and traveling. But most of all he loved his grandchildren and family, and was extremely proud of them. In accordance with his wishes, cremation services will be preformed. A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date.
