Todd Oliver Salts, 55, formerly of Londonderry, died on November 30, 2021, at his residence in Columbus, OH, following a brief illness. He was born June 15, 1966, to Sue (Salts) Newland and John Salts. He was predeceased by his father, John Salts, and his very special aunt, who was like a mother to him, Shirley Smith. He is survived by his loving mother, Sue Newland of Londonderry and her husband, Scott Newland; his step-brother who Todd considered a brother, Rudy Newland; his former wife, Loretta Tripp Bridges; his step-daughters, Shara Tripp, and Shawna Tripp Buchanan; step-son, Jared Bridges, and step-grandson, Lane Tripp, all of Tennessee. Todd also leaves behind three very special friends: Scott Hutchison and Mikki Vinkovich, both of whom attended school with Todd, and his former fifth-grade teacher, Phillip Kellough. Scott and Mikki were more like siblings than friends, and their support and companionship through the years meant a great deal to Todd. Todd also formed a very special bond with his fifth-grade teacher, Phillip Kellough, which grew stronger over the years. Todd considered Phil the greatest teacher he ever had, both academically and biblically. They spent many hours discussing scriptures and the mysteries of the Bible. Todd graduated from Southeastern High School class of 1985. He attended the Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, KY whereby he graduated May 5, 2000, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ministry. Todd formerly worked at P.P.G. and Sun TV. He had been a Youth Parole Officer in Tennessee and a long-distance driver for the Old Dominion Trucking Company. He was most passionate, however, about sharing the love of God and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11am Thursday, December 9, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery, Allensville, OH. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., P.O.
