Tina Spires

August 24, 1963 — June 21, 2013

Tina Claudette (McMackin) Spires, 49 of Chillicothe, began her eternal life with her Heavenly Father on June 21, 2013 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 24, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio to JoAnn (Ford) McMackin and the late Norris McMackin. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents Claude and Henrietta (Huntzinger) Ford and Norris and Emma Sarah McMackin, uncle Claude Ford, and cousin Sherry Silvers. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Joe Spires; daughters Sarah Spires and Melissa Fausnaugh; mother JoAnn McMackin; brother Norris (Tonya) McMackin; grandchildren Andrew Petersen and Elyce Mullins; aunt Anna Ford; mother and father-in-law Sandra and Bill Spires; brothers in law Chris (Jodi) Spires, Pat (Leslie) Spires; nieces and nephews Abigail and Emily McMackin, Andrea, Justin and Josh Spires; cousins Steven, Cindy, Julie, Michael, Terry; special relatives TerryJoe (Sarah) and Chatin McMackin, Shonna (Dwayne) Tipton, Donna (Chris) Sexton, Alishia Osborne and Macy, and Gordon Silvers. Special friends Connie Bevins, Carrie Ingram, Lynette Jones, Joyce Snyder, Loretta Easterday, and her favorite co-worker, Judy; many other relatives and friends. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Chillicothe, where she worked as secretary and directed the preschool for several years. She attended Ohio University and worked for RCA records, where she lived her dream of meeting and photographing many country music celebrities, with Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty being among her favorites. She continued her celebrity interviews and photography work throughout her life. She also worked for the State of Ohio Department of Corrections for 12 ½ years. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mamaw, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was kind and generous and took wonderful care of those she loved. She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 151 University Drive, Chillicothe. Pastor David Kane, a friend and a great source of comfort to the family, will officiate. Interment will be at Amanda Township Cemetery, Fairfield County. Friends may call 12-2 pm and 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, www.liverfoundation.org or to Our Savior Lutheran Church Preschool, 151 University Drive, Chillicothe.
