Timothy Kern

Timothy A. Kern, 64, of Chillicothe, died at his home at 8:44pm on November 12, 2024, following an extended battle with cancer.

He was born March 18, 1960, in Chillicothe, to the late Vernon L. "Buck" and Elaine C. (Clifton) Kern.  On March 25, 2000, he married the former Amy M. Morris, who survives.

Also surviving are his son Jasper Kern, of Chillicothe; sister Sherryl Kern, Chillicothe; nephews Jarrad Kern, of Chillicothe, whom he helped raise, and Michael Morris, of North Carolina; a niece Jara Willis of North Carolina; his mother-in-law Marlene Morris, Chillicothe; brother-in-law Cam (Olivia) Morris, of North Carolina; and numerous extended family members and friends.  He was predeceased by his parents; and father-in-law Charles "Art" Morris.

Tim was a graduate of Zane Trace High School, Class of 1979.  He was honorably discharged from the US Army.  He had worked for WalMart as well as was the owner/operator of Charlie's Cards and the Dart Connection.  Tim had fond memories of his "Friday Night Poker Gang" and always looked forward to those evenings.

At his request, there will be no services.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his son Jasper's college fund at any Homeland Credit Union.
